Lee comes highly recommended by SMG, the world leader in venue management, marketing and development. Services for these firms must be of the finest quality.
More significantly, Lee prides himself on being an exceptional community partner. Over many years of operation, Lee Duncan never failed to answer a call to be involved in community affairs. From Boys Clubs to Little League baseball; from Pop Warner football to youth employment; from church programs to symphony orchestras; from the Special Olympics to after schools programs, Lee has been there.
In fact, Lee Duncan has helped transform communities by being proactive in the development of programs that address the problems facing our neighborhoods. Lee has always maintained a particular interest in young people. In the aftermath of the Los Angeles riots, Lee’s company partnered with cities and local non-profit organizations to implement Tree of Life, a job readiness and employment opportunity program for youth that helped quell mounting tension and restore sanctity and trust within impacted communities. Lee’s efforts received national recognition and Tree of Life received the coveted National League of Cities Urban Enrichment Award and the United States Conference of Mayors City Liveability Award. However, Lee’s involvement did not stop there. Through his company, he continued his bold support for the greater community as a co-sponsor of Peace in the City, a region-wide youth conference conducted on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. The conference involved high school student representatives from more than sixty cities.
Lee Duncan’s involvement in the public/private/non-profit collaboration involving Project Impact was honored by Rebuild L.A. for its innovation, creativity and effectiveness in addressing one of the most profound problems ever facing Los Angeles County. Indeed, Project Impact was recognized this past year by President Barrack Obama for outstanding achievement in serving youths and families. Now, Project Impact, again, joins with Lee Duncan in supporting youth development efforts. Today, Lee Duncan is continuing the tradition of community service and involvement with WAVE – Western Arborists Value Education. Through WAVE, Economy Tree care invites its organizational affiliates and concerned clients to be a part of the positive transformation of our greater community. Through WAVE, those desiring to get involved, can share their educational and career insights with youth participants. Lee recognizes that such personal perspectives can be invaluable in helping to positively change the lives of young people. Through WAVE, every Economy contract manifests into youth employment and experiential opportunity.
